Visit our Amazing Animals Exhibit in Tanglewood Preserve In Rockville Centre, NY

The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) offers a variety of fun-filled programs designed to engage and entertain families and kids of all ages. Located in the 17 acre Tanglewood Preserve with ponds, streams, and enchanted woods, CSTL offers a number of special events and programs throughout the year.

DINOSAUR EXHIBIT

See robotic and skeletal life size dinosaurs and live animals such as snakes, emus, turtles and lots more in natural settings! Appropriate for all ages. Learn about animal and dinosaur adaptations, what’s so special about each dinosaur or animal that helped it survive? Hands on activities and a dino dig too!

FAMILY OPTIONS

  • Kids and families can come by any day of the week to visit our Amazing Animals Exhibit!
  • CSTL’s Tiny Tots program is specifically aimed at children under the age of 3.
  • Treat your children and their friends to a science- and nature-themed Birthday Party!
  • In October, the preserve is transformed into a Halloween-themed spectacle we call Spooky Fest!
  • Other Family programs happen throughout the year, including Rocket-Building days and Night-time Hikes. Keep an eye on our calendar of events for Family programs!
