Center for Science Teaching and Learning strives to make each of our visitors feel welcome and have an enjoyable experience. Accessibility offerings include:
Group Rates
If you are looking to book a group visit in advance, we do not require the otherwise mandatory minimum of 20 individuals and do not charge for 1-on-1 aides.
Handicap Parking
We have accessible parking for visitors with disabilities given appropriate parking vehicle tag displayed in/on the vehicle.
Wheelchair Accessibility
All buildings have wheelchair-accessible entrances/exits and our museum is fully wheelchair-accessible.
Accessible Restrooms
All restrooms are family/all-gender, single stall, and wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are available with space for companion care and a restroom with an infant/child’s changing table is available.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome accompanied by official letter of support indicating the animal present. Emotional support animals are not permitted. Service animals may relieve themselves external to the premises of Tanglewood Preserve/Center for Science Teaching and Learning and must be curbed.
Seating
Folding chairs are available for visitors who cannot stand for the duration of an experience upon request at the front desk or of any staff person during your visit.
Strollers
Strollers are welcome. However, they must not be left unattended with or without children inside.
Sensory Packs
Sensory packs, located at the center’s front desk, are available for individuals in need of sensory support items such as fidgets, noise-cancelling headphones, sunglasses, and portable calming strategy items. While these sensory packs are limited for very large groups, we can accommodate a child or adult that requires a sensory pack and we encourage visitors to bring and use any personal sensory items they require that will aid them during their visit. We do ask that personal sensory items be limited in noise volume to be accommodating to other visitors with sensitivities to sound.

Social Story
A social story for families, caregivers, and professionals supporting individuals with disabilities is available to help prepare for their visit.
